Job descriptionWant to expand your skills as a CNC Operator Cassidy Manufacturing is GROWING!!You have the opportunity to operate 1 or all of our 20 of our vertical and milling machines, and the 100s of active parts we produceWe are looking to add full time, Experienced or Recent Student Graduates as CNC Machine Operators on our days, evening or overnight non-rotating shifts!Please note we are not located on a local transit route, access to reliable transportation is required.__**Candidates with great attendance, attitude and aptitude, we also have an awesome training program so you can grow your career as a machine operator too if no proven machine experience and join as a team member as a Production assistant to one of our CNC machine operators.CNC Operator:

  • Primary responsibility is to operate vertical and horizontal milling and turning centers
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Complete regular quality checks
  • Learn to operate all machines as you learn and grow as an operator
  • Once you’ve mastered operating all machines, the opportunity to move into a set-up operator role awaits.
Skills Required:
  • Basic computer / tablet data entry for work / quality control
  • Blueprint reading a definite asset
  • Ability to use and read precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
  • Observe machine settings and detect any problems in an operation
  • Adjust machines to maintain tolerance of parts
  • Complete basic editing of a program
  • Make tool changes when required
  • De-burr and/or assemble parts when required
  • Reliable and daily attendance
Qualifications
  • Experience working as a CNC operator in a metal manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating CNC mills or lathes in a metal manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with micrometers, calipers and gauges.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  • Good proficiency with written and spoken English (required for reading, interpreting, and giving/following English work instructions/documents)
  • High-school/secondary school education or equivalent is an asset
Cassidy Offers:

  • Evening shift premiums of $1.00 /hr - Sunday -Thursday 3pm-11:30pm
  • Overnight shift premiums of $2.00/hr - Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7:30am
