Job Description

Job descriptionLooking for extra hours and income...then we have an opportunity for you!We are looking to add a regular Part Time shift and hours for Experienced CNC MachineOperators on our evening or overnight teams.We are offering Monday to Thursday availability - while working a minimum of 4-5 hours per shift as negotiated.Reliable and regular attendance would be required.Interested candidates must have proven 3-5 years of recent working experience operating a variety of CNC Machines such as Haas or Doosan, while using Fanuc controls and would be expected to almost immediately be able to run machine and work independently or with minimal supervision.Please note we are not located on a local transit route, access to reliable transportation is required.CNC Operator Requirement & Skills:

  • Operate vertical mill & vertical mills with a rotary axis.
  • Operate horizontal mills.
  • Operate 2 and 3 axis lathes.
  • Familiar with Fanuc style controls.
  • Ability to read interpret engineering drawings & blueprints
  • Complete regular quality checks using calipers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges, go/no go plug and thread gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy of parts
  • Ability to adjust tool offsets to ensure dimensional accuracy of parts.
  • Ability to follow instruction and work independently and in a team environment.
  • Computer literate, use Windows 10 workstation and Microsoft Excel ( for data entry)
  • Observe machine settings and detect any problems in an operation
  • Adjust machines to maintain tolerance of parts
  • Complete basic editing of a program
  • Make tool changes when required
  • De-burr and/or assemble parts when required
  • Reliable and daily attendance
Qualifications
  • Current and Proven Experience working as a CNC operator in a metal manufacturing environment
  • Current and Proven Experience operating CNC mills or lathes in a metal manufacturing environment
  • Proven Experience working with micrometers, calipers and gauges.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  • Good proficiency with written and spoken English (required for reading, interpreting, and giving/following English work instructions/documents)
  • High-school/secondary school education or equivalent is an asset
