Job descriptionWe are GROWING & TRAIN!Do you have you the desire to train and learn machining as a CNC OperatorWe can train anyone if you have the following......

  • Ability to train & work day shift (Monday to Friday - 7 am -3:30 pm)
  • Willing to start as a part of our Production Support Team
  • Flexible to move to alternate Evening or Overnight shifts upon training completed

  • Reliable transportation ( we are not located on a local bus route)
  • Previous experience in a production /metal manufacturing environment
As a CNC Operator You:
  • Operate vertical and horizontal milling and turning centers
  • Read blueprints
  • Complete Quality check
  • Observe machine settings and detect any problems in an operation
  • Adjust machines to maintain tolerance of parts
  • Complete basic editing of a program
  • Make tool changes when required
  • De-burr and/or assemble parts when required
  • Learn to operate one of our 20 machines to grow as an operator
  • If you master all machines, move into a set-up operator role
Additional Skills an Asset to Succeed:
  • Basic computer / tablet data entry for work / quality control
  • Blueprint reading a definite asset
  • Ability to use and read precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
  • Experience working as a CNC operator in a metal manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating either CNC mills or lathes in a metal manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with micrometers, calipers and gauges
  • Good proficiency with written and spoken English (required for reading, interpreting, and giving/following English work instructions/documents)
  • High-school/secondary school education or equivalent is an asset
Cassidy Offers:

  • Evening shift premiums of $1.00 /hr - Sunday -Thursday 3pm-11:30pm
  • Overnight shift premiums of $2.00/hr - Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7:30am
