Job Description

General Labourer, Bathurst, New BrunswickWhen you join our team as a General Labourer , you will support the mill to run smoothly by ensuring everything has a place and that the yard, sawmill and planer are clean. Working in a sawmill, you #39;ll discover that they do more than transform forest products, they also transform our communities.What You #39;ll Do- Tie up bundles of rough lumber for drying outside.- Redo and stack bundles of rough and planed wood in the yard.- Perform clean-ups of the yard, sawmill and planer.- Perform clean-ups after interior and exterior sawing operations.- During work downtime, clean areas that are inaccessible during operations.- Do any other related tasks (don #39;t worry; you #39;ll learn tons of things that will help you in your career!).What You Offer- Ability to work safely and show vigilance and a concern for health and safety.- Ability to lift 30 lbs. consistently and ability to stand, walk and climb stairs for full 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts.- Ability to work well on a team.- Ability to work independently and be full of initiative.- Prior experience at a sawmill is an asset.- Availability to work day and/or night shifts.Who We AreInterfor is a growth-oriented forest products company, operating in all major forest products markets across North America.
