He/she is responsible for implementing and maintaining the water treatment units for the mine site.DescriptionCheck the operation of the water filtration and treatment units.Optimize the water treatment processes.Develop and maintain good communication with the Surface Operations team to ensure water management throughout the site.Perform water quality control tests to ensure compliance with the operational and environmental instructions.Monitor and inspect the equipment and the systems to detect failures and ensure the treatment plants are in good working order.Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly with regard to health and safety.Ensure the workplaces are clean and safe at all times.Report any incident/accident to his/her supervisor.Assist the mechanics during the maintenance work and production shutdowns.Perform all other tasks related to the performance of his/her duties.Schedule : 14 days of work followed by 14 days offRequirementsDiploma of Vocational Studies in water treatment.Minimum 2 years' experience in water treatment.Basic knowledge of IT.Basic knowledge of automated control tools.Valid driver's licenceBilingualism (an asset)CompetenciesTeamwork in a multicultural environmentAbility to analyze and solve problems.AdaptabilityInterested qualified candidates should send their resume via the company's Web site at www.newmont.com no later than June 15, 2021.We thank all applicants for their interest.
