Job DescriptionAs a UI artist at Ubisoft Saguenay, you have the responsibility to elaborate and put in place new interface experiences for the users by creating graphic elements and animated graphic prototypes.What youll doPRE-PRODUCTIONCreate screenshots and to ensure navigation and user experience.Create interfaces (wireframe, mockups, animatics)Prototypes: to quickly implement solutions of usability in the engine or in any other prototyping software (Flash,pencil, FluidUI, etc.)To elaborate visual signature of the interface elements: interactive objects, style guide layout, animation, and visual FX signature.PRODUCTIONGraphic realisation/production: to create interface elements with excellent graphic quality (with Photoshop, Illustrator, 3DSMax, etc. )Animation, to create animations on timeline of a specific engine (transform properties, state management, etc.)Optimisation: to import/export optimal graphic elements for the specific engine, to stay creative and efficient according to technical limitations (graphic compression, nine-slice 2D, colouring in the engine in addition and multiplication, etc.)Implementation: knowledge of the general integration process of the game engine (import textures and Atlas creation, instance of assets and components, build process and changelists, etc.)QualificationsWhat you bringAEC in graphic design and multimedia or any other equivalent training.At least 3 to 5 years of a recognized experience in design of the user interfaces as innovative and intuitive as possible.Understand and respect the creative guidelines of the brand and of the project.To be creative and proactive in the search for solutions to obtain a high quality UXTo be flexible when facing changes and to be vigilant to maintain UX homogeneityTo be able to plan cross-platform development.Knowledge of the development process of video game, particularly with the different specialists and UI production stagesKnowledge of the basic principles ( build, data, engine)Knowledge in ergonomics / navigation experienceExperience in quality graphic production 2D/3D (photoshop, illustrator, 3DS Max)Knowledge of the video game industryTechnical and graphical knowledge of a game engine (compression, alpha and channels, Atlas)Knowledge of the principles of optimization and reuse.Scripts, components, and debugs.Additional InformationUbisoft Saguenay is a multidisciplinary team building video games since 2018.
