Job Description

A&W is looking for a candidate to fill the position of Assistant Manager for its new franchise located on Lacordaire Boulevard (Anjou). We are looking to recruit a trustworthy individual who enjoys new challenges.Above all, we are looking for a quality person who understands and reflects the values conveyed by A&W and who will be an asset in the development of a quality franchise.The Assistant Manager will be responsible for the quality and consistency of the customer experience. He/she will develop a motivated and productive staff while ensuring the health, growth and profitability of the restaurant.

  • MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to managing a dynamic, guest centric restaurant, the Assistant Manager will:*
  • Be responsible for the proper operation of the restaurant and the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment during his shift (Tuesday to Saturday);
  • Ensure that restaurant policies and procedures are scrupulously enforced and respected at all times;
  • Oversee the application of best practices in the management of a diverse team of employees (recruitment, training, coaching, assessment, development and recognition);
  • Comply with A&Ws guest service standards (responsive and prompt service, food quality, restaurant cleanliness, etc.);
  • In addition to serving as a model for meeting the restaurant’s performance standards, the successful candidate will ensure that the guest experience consistently exceeds guest expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES TOWARDS THE MANAGERFalling under the responsibility of the Manager, the Assistant Manager will:
  • By mutual agreement with the Manager, set yearly goals for the restaurant and its employees;
  • Support the Manager in all aspects of the restaurants profitability (creation and achievement
of the annual profit plan, variable cost management methods, cash processing and bankdeposits);
  • Provide support to the Manager to help achieve A&Ws objectives regarding operating
standards and the ongoing management of administrative systems;
  • In collaboration with the Manager, address marketing issues and execute national,
regional and local promotions to help develop A&Ws profile and reputation to maximize sales potential.JOIN THE A&W FAMILY
