Job DescriptionFrom summer must-haves & trends to how to build a stone fire pit and what people should be considering in their outdoor design. We’re looking for a prolific and talented communicator, storyteller and content creator to manage and produce various types of online and offline content on a regular basis. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and social media management skills.Your main responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build brand awareness, customer loyalty programs, and customer satisfaction with SEO best practices in mind;
  • Oversee the creation of marketing and communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with the organizations brand, including website copy, blogs, print assets, internal and external emails and more;
  • Take the market’s pulse. Your reports will identify the market trends, tell us what kind of messaging is working and what’s not, to help the marketing team understand the audience better, what makes them tick;
  • Build out content calendar and assets for all marketing initiatives;
  • Track performance and continuously monitor our brands health and communications to understand competitive forces, draw conclusions and provide insights;
  • Develop and present monthly reports of communications activities;
  • Work with the branding and digital teams to create content for all digital advertising assets (Google, Facebook, Instagram);
  • Update and create new content for website;
  • Building corporate presentations for different internal and external client segments and developing client-focused content;
  • Preparing educational content for internal and external clients;
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to co-create content (blogs, project stories, infographics, web content, etc) and enable user generated content;
  • Translate content from English to French and vice versa.
A day in the lifeMonday begins with a weekly kick-off meeting with the creative team followed by a midmorning coffee break where you cross paths with a variety of members from the marketing department. You then go to work on reviewing topics for blogs and start the briefs for the next months production. Monday afternoon requires an email communication to our contractor community to be written, reviewed and then translated. Wrapping up your day will be a strategic meeting reviewing the performance of our social media platforms and blogs in order to assess insights for improved performance or new ideas for content production.Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, or a similar field;
  • 5 years minimum of experience in similar capacities;
  • Perfectly bilingual in English and French;
  • Experience creating strong, engaging content;
  • Proven track record in managing content marketing and communication strategies;
  • Autonomous contributor who takes pride in quality deliverables and meeting deadlines;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Understanding of web analytics principles and concepts;
  • SEO should be your best friend;
  • B2B and B2C experience a strong asset;
  • A background or knowledge in the hardscape/landscape industry is a plus;
  • Ease with new tools and software’s and striving to learn new technologies, trends and online platforms;
  • Ease of working with video content a plus.
