Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Demand and Distribution Manager, the Distribution Planner will be responsible for managing the demand and distribution of Techo-Bloc’s products throughout their network. As such, you will work with internal stakeholders to ensure the daily distribution/replenishment of our finished goods from our manufacturing sites to our 18 locations across Canada and the United States.Essential Functions:
  • Managing the demand and distribution of our products using our vastly automated Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system;
  • Based off sales forecasts, in collaboration with the Demand & Distribution Manager, participate in the process of establishing our Min-Max and target inventory levels for the distribution of our finished goods;
  • Responsible for organizing the daily distribution/replenishment of our finished goods from our manufacturing sites to our 18 locations based off orders and safety stock;
  • Collaborate with the production planners to organize timely replenishment of our finished goods that is aligned with our production schedule;
  • Responsible for identifying actual or potential overstock situations in our depots and altering our replenishment strategy accordingly;
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to organize the replenishment of resale items across our locations;
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to organize the replenishment of marketing merchandise across our depots;
  • Collaborate with the customer service order department to organize the distribution and fulfillment of special orders to our depots;
  • Work with the transport department to establish and maintain the most cost-effective distribution routes to replenish our depots;
  • Ad hoc analysis.
Qualifications
  • College or university degree in a related field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field;
  • Bilingualism (French/English);
  • Strong computer system skills. Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF etc.);
  • The ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines;
  • Strong team player and organizational skills;
  • Ability to learn and suggest process improvement through problem solving;
  • Reacts well under pressure and detail oriented;
  • Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain (planning and scheduling, production process and capabilities, inventory planning etc.) will be considered a strong asset;
  • Experience in using MRP will be considered a strong asset.
