Job DescriptionTecho-Blocs Finance team continues to grow and we are looking for a quick thinking, inquisitive Finance Analyst who is eager to add value to our operations through the implementation of financial controls. Reporting to the Chief Corporate Controller and working with amazing colleagues and a great team, the incumbent will be responsible for mastering financial accounting, cost analysis, inventory management and banking transactions. In addition, you will play both a strategic and operational role in a wide variety of financial process improvement projects and continuous optimization. You will work closely with various departments and stakeholders to understand business needs, integrate them and translate them into functional specifications.You will develop your career as part of a collaborative and respectful "skys the limit" culture where out of the box thinking is encouraged and data driven decisions are made.Your primary responsibilities include:
  • Optimize and participate in the implementation of financial processes;
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis as appropriate;
  • Investigate our current processes and identify opportunities for improvement;
  • Prepare analyses and information necessary to assist in decision making and make recommendations on various topics;
  • Develop tools to facilitate the follow-up of production costs;
  • Participation in various activities related to the accounting cycle and involvement in the budgetary process;
  • Support the companys managers, as an expert in your field of activity, when making business decisions and establishing business strategies in connection with major projects;
  • For each assigned project, you would be responsible for defining mandates, milestones, timelines and material requirements, while ensuring that effective communication is established and maintained with the various stakeholders involved in the projects;
  • Work with the IT team in the testing phase of new solutions and provide support in the change management phase;
  • When necessary, perform reminders of procedures or create new ones;
  • Support operations in the creation, maintenance and optimization of performance indicators;
  • Create, test and validate new financial reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in finance or accounting
  • Accounting designation (an asset)
  • Experience working with an ERP system (an asset)
  • Excellent ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good priority management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate rigor, autonomy and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Teamwork and results orientation
  • Bilingual (spoken and written)
