Job DescriptionUnder the responsibility of the Cost Price Manager, the Financial Costing Analyst will be responsible to improve processes and to create added value by analyzing and finding opportunities in our production processes. You will be responsible for the accuracy of inventory value (raw materials, consumables, finished products, maintenance). In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of dynamic, competent and experienced professionals who are committed to your success.
  • Review production orders and check against the standards set;
  • Analyze variances;
  • Review and update standard product costs (raw materials, consumables, finished goods, maintenance, etc.);
  • Monitor trends in our margin, sales, cycle time and other reports.
  • Verify inventory adjustment requests;
  • Create new products (BOM + ROUTE) and ensure items are ready for production use;
  • Ensure that direct labor, direct maintenance and indirect costs are tracked with the controllers;
  • In conjunction with his manager, participate in the sales pricing process;
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs or improve speed of production;
  • Analyze purchases on a regular basis to ensure inventory accuracy;
  • Participate in annual inventory counts;
  • As needed to be called to visit plants in Canada and the United States;
  • May be called upon to collaborate with the R&D team in the creation of new products in order to find opportunities to reduce costs or improve the speed of production;
  • Participate in the decision making process for the qualification of new products according to established criteria.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in administration, accounting option
  • CPA designation in progress
  • Accounting experience will be considered an asset
  • Bilingualism, verbal and written (essential)
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills and respect for deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team and good communicator
