  • Minimum 3+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience, using professional tax preparation software
  • Experience preparing a minimum of 125 tax returns per tax season for the last 3 years
  • Ability to prepare and support various federal and provincial tax returns for individuals, including students, pensioners, self-employed individuals, rental property owners, investors, and those with foreign income
  • Experience filing end-to-end customer personal returns, covering employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135, foreign income, and all credits/deductions
  • Knowledge of tax laws and concepts, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Windows and mobile platforms, as well as G-suite applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible availability/schedule
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French), including reading, writing, and speaking, is a plus
  • Experience preparing Quebec tax returns (TP1) is a plus
  • Experience providing support in a contact center environment is a plus
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Guide customers through the process of completing their personal tax returns remotely in a seasonal and customer-facing position
  • Collaborate with customers to prepare or review their tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Research and address tax-related questions from customers through written communication or phone calls
  • Provide a Full Service experience by preparing, reviewing, and filing customers #39; returns with the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) or assisting them in preparing their own returns with tax advice and guidance
  • Stay up to date with tax regulations to provide accurate advice on maximizing customers #39; tax returns
  • Create exceptional customer experiences by displaying empathy, deep tax knowledge, and expertise
  • Proactively seek out and deliver accurate information to customers by using government websites, professional resources, and the expertise of the team
  • Follow established practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position varies depending on the location: PEI $25.50 – 34.50, BC $25.50 – 34.50, Nova Scotia $25.50 – 34.50.
