Role and ResponsibilitiesCloud Operations Automation SpecialistYour MissionIT Cloud Automation Specialists are professionals who specialize in using infrastructure as code to deploy cloud infrastructure and applications. This role applies to all cloud environments including Azure, AWS and VMware.IT Cloud Automation Specialists leverage their expertise with IAC tools to automate a variety of deployments within organized peer reviewed pipeline processes. They are also required to support strategic Windows/Linux based applications at the administration level, ensuring that they are optimally configured and maintained.Your Roleamp; Main Responsibilities- Collaborate with the architecture team, the application team, and the infrastructure team on key automation initiatives- Build automation pipelines for a variety of scenarios from simple application servers to complex multi-resource cloud deployments- Support application hosting platforms built around Kubernetes and containers- Actively participate in application modernization roadmap and initiatives by building the right infrastructure and supporting application teams in their journey- Be comfortable with both on-premise VMware environments and cloud azure environments- Measure and optimize the effectiveness of automation pipelines- Build automation to support disaster recovery scenarios- Build automation for the cloud and on premise (Azure/VMWARE)- Collaboratively works within pipeline deployment environment with peer review practices and source-controlled code- Participate and lead internal development best practices sharing- Leverage Azure DevOps to build automation pipelines- Remote work - no onsite requirementYour QualificationsSoft skills- Excellent English and French written and verbal communication skills- Be a continuous learner and a self starter- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment- Ability to effectively prioritize work- Collaboratively works within pipeline deployment environment with peer review practices and source-controlled codeTechnical skills- Technical Degree (BAC/DEC) in a technology discipline and/or an equivalent combination of education and related experience- Minimum 5 years of experience in deploying, patching, managing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft/Linux Server environments, both virtual (VMware) and physical- Minimum 3 years of experience in CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous deployment) pipeline and DevOps practices- Advanced proficiency with Terraform- Advanced proficiency with Ansible- Proficiency in Azure Cloudamp; Azure DevOps- Proficiency with VMware technologies- Proficiency with SCM and peer review processes- Controlled Goods and elevated security clearances may be a requirementWhat we have to offer- Benefits: fully flexible for you to choose what is important- Retirement: Defined Benefits Retirement Planamp; Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)- Financial Perks: Employee Stock Purchase Planamp; numerous corporate discounts- Personal and Family Programs: Physical Wellness Planamp; Supplementary Maternity Plan- Work-Life Balance: Flex timeamp; California Fridays all year- Fun at work: social and community events all-year round!#LI-CL1#LI-hybridPosition TypeRegularCAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
