We support our retail partners around the globe to establish the best quality product.RDJ Bakeries Ltd is currently looking for a Lead Recruiter to join our growing day shift team.Job purposeThe associate is responsible for sourcing candidates through various channels, planning interview and selection procedures and hosting or participating in career events.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:- Coordinate with the department manager to identify short term and long-term staffing needs.- Serve as the Lead Recruiter and collaborate with the team to determine most suitable recruitment strategy.- Anticipate, coordinate, and plan for upcoming recruitment activities.- Create, update, and maintain strong networking relationships with internal and external talent sources.- Develop a recruitment strategy by using information collated internally to proactively search for a diverse pool of talent using various recruiting methods (e.g., direct sourcing, internal recruitment, web-based, print media, social media)- Develop and update the overall recruiting unit processes, procedures, and systems including sourcing of an appropriate applicant tracking system for day-to-day candidate management and database.- Conduct detailed candidate prescreening interviews and recommend qualified and diverse candidates who meet the requirements for the role as specified in the job postings.- Prepare annual report to reflect hiring and retention data.- Ensure the full-cycle recruitment is managed and the induction program is scheduled for the new hires.- Manage, create and update Job Descriptions as required.- Manage the performance reviews and the probation period evaluations.- Manage the follow up meetings with the new hires through their first year: 2 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year follow up.- Complete Background Checks for office staff and managers.- Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success.- Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company Procedures.- Approve the vacation requests.- Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.- Issue disciplinary action when needed.- Perform other assigned duties.- Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.Qualifications- Proven work experience as a Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Specialist, or similar role.- Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks.- Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- A keen understanding of the differences between various roles within organizations- BSc in Human Resources Management or relevant field.- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Working conditions- Always work indoors.- Usually, the first point of contact that potential employees have with an organization.- Work per shift.- Straight shift work.Physical requirements- Typing- Office work.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Casual dressCompany eventsDental careDiscounted or free foodOn-site gymOn-site parkingPaid time offWellness programSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayOn callOvertimeWeekends as neededAbility to commute/relocate:Cambridge, ON N1R 7L3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Application question(s):What are your salary expectations for this roleLanguage:English (preferred)Work Location: In person
