Job Description

Make Your Mark at Prysmian! The Maintenance Manager reports to the Plant Director. The Maintenance Manager stands out for his/her liveliness and has a great sense of organization and his motivation. This seasoned planner knows how to lead several complex projects simultaneously while ensuring results are achieved.Responsibilities

  • Directs team activities and maintenance department resources to ensure all plant equipment is maintained and repaired with minimal downtime.
  • Actively participate and take part in ESS projects and improvements on a regular basis.
  • Acts as project manager during the installation of new machinery and major projects, develops performance specifications and monitors submission processes.
  • Assumes responsibility for the budget and control of departmental expenses and demonstrates initiative in forecasting future maintenance needs to minimize budgetary impacts.
  • Manages the maintenance of the building in accordance with current laws and also represents GCC for environmental purposes.
  • Supports the engineering department with respect to major production issues and participates in lean continuous improvement activities.
  • Optimizes machine performance in accordance with new technologies and industry best practices.
  • Creates, distributes and controls schedules for preventive maintenance of machines and works with production to determine priorities, including summer shutdown.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • 3 – 5 years of experience working in a maintenance role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must be bilingual - French and English - Duties require the exchange of e-mails or certain meetings with other plants in North America. The official and common language remains French.
  • Minimum 3 years leading teams and processes
  • Proven success using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and tools
