If you have experience in the manufacturing sector and not afraid to roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and spend time in the plants to advance a project or help your team out, this opportunity is for you! Techo-Bloc is looking for a highly motivated R amp;D Mechanical Engineer who will bring his ideas to life by designing, assembling, testing, and coordinating the installation of his prototypes. He will, amongst other things, participate in updating the drawings of replacement parts, improve production equipment, carry out purchases and support his fellow designers and engineers.In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developamp; create 3D CAD models of mechanical systems and parts for new equipment;
  • Identify improvements to be made on production lines to increase safety and efficiency;
  • Find improvement solutions;
  • Support the implementation of new processes;
  • Validate designs, calculations, simulations;
  • Perform tolerance testing of mechanical parts and assemblies;
  • Analyzeamp; help solve technical problems;
  • Optimize current equipment to increase production efficiencies;
  • Prepare test bench marking;
  • Procurement of parts, obtaining best prices and best lead times;
  • Participate in the physical assembly of equipment and prototypes;
  • Supervise and mentor other engineers/designers and mechanics;
  • Participate in project timelineamp; budget building.
