Here, you can: shape the future of insurance, win as a team, and grow with us.About the roleWe are currently looking for a Project Control Officer (PCO) for our Software Engineering department who will play a key role in supporting our growth.We are transforming our industry to make it simpler and more transparent for all our customers and our strategy is based on major innovative technology projects achieved in a dynamic environment.ROLE:The PCO is responsible for the financial follow-up of projects and programs. Advising project managers in the planning and tracking of their projects and suggesting alternatives. Working with project managers in the production of budgets and forecasts (financial and resources). They can implement the entire management environment of a project or program and can represent the project in the absence or at the request of the project manager.

  • Advise and assist project managers with the project initiation process by collaborating on the production of cost-benefit analyses (CBA), project charter, project creation and WBS in Clarity, etc.
  • Assist project managers in preparing the project baseline: budget/forecast in Clarity, documents required and sign-offs.
  • Coordinate and/or perform various activities related to project execution or control (project status, timesheets, plan tracking (WBS) in Open Workbench and Clarity).
  • Define budget monitoring indicators, carry out controls, analyze variances and propose measures for adjusting or optimizing expenses.
  • Assist project managers in creating resource requisitions for projects. Perform project resource planning and resource assignments in Clarity.
  • Assist project managers in the preparation of forecasts, update allocations/ETCs in Clarity and in the scorecard for each project.
  • Assist project managers with month-end activities in Clarity: tracking vendor invoicing, entering vouchers into Clarity, preparing the month-end report in Clarity, and compiling information needed to update the DPL.
  • Work closely with the finance and procurement teams to create and allocate orders to the appropriate cost centre and funding.
  • Prepare reports and follow-ups for various management meetings: project reviews, team meetings, dashboard.
  • Assist project managers in project closure: Close-out report, Lessons learned, final CBA, administrative closure in Clarity, sign-offs.
  • Manage the SSRAC committee and act as a project manager, on occasion, to carry out small requests.
  • Maintain certain collaboration tools such as SharePoint sites, Teams Groups, Organizational charts, etc.
  • Ensure that the PMOs governance rules are applied in the budget monitoring of projects.
  • Participate in the annual budget preparation exercise for the cost centres of the Software Engineering Vice Presidency.
QualificationsYou have :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Administration or Project Management.
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years experience in a similar position in an IT environment.
  • Knowledge of Open Workbench and Clarity project management tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and O365 suite.
  • Knowledge of Oracle/finance (an asset).
  • PMP certification (an asset).
  • Experience in budget management required.
  • Experience managing development projects (Agile) preferred.

  • Well organized, self-directed and proactive.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent communicator, fluent French and English (oral and written), an asset.
  • Customer focus.
