Job Description

As a Carbon Credit Trader you will be responsible for renewables compliance units trading across our company, you will identify and explore value-add opportunities by analyzing and interpreting international regulatory requirements for fuels compliance. Your goal will be to research applicable market news and global data, you will communicate these opportunities and work with stakeholders to pursue them.What We Offer:

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate complex concepts in support of trading strategies and gain alignment on recommendations.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies while always ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Trade around our refineries compliance unit length and shortfalls to maximize earnings, ensure supply chain reliability, and drive organizational value.
  • Develop and monitor new relationships with counterparties with a focus on building and keeping long term stakeholders .
  • Monitoring market trends to capitalize on trading opportunities.
  • Ability to change priorities quickly to adapt to current conditions.
Your Skills:
  • Able to articulate complex concepts to support trading strategies and recommendations; able to tell a compelling story from the data.
  • Able to work in an ambiguous environment without clear guidelines.
  • Familiarity with carbon climate change and alternatives.
  • Aware of basic legal and regulatory principles for trading and renewables policies.
  • Understanding of operations and renewable compliance principles.
  • Working knowledge of a supply chain and all its components.
Your Experience:
  • Post-secondary education business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of experience in the trading industry is a definite asset.
  • Experience with negotiating different types of contracts.
