Job Description

Cooke is a global seafood company with operations in North America, Europe, South America and Australia. Our company #39;s success is driven by our dynamic, highly skilled, and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area #39;s economy and sense of community.The RoleWe are hiring a Divisional Controller to join our team of accounting professionals. This role will work out of our Saint John and/or Blacks Harbour, NB office.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team
  • Completing period end financial statements and management reports, working paper files and ad hoc reporting
  • Continuous process improvement
  • Be involved, periodically, in projects to support the overall accounting and finance team
  • Coordinating the requests of the external auditors for both the interim and year end audit tasks
A successful candidate will possess:
  • Professional accounting designation preferred
  • University degree in accounting or finance
  • 5 years plus of relevant experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Valid passport required for travel to other non-Canadian operations (when permitted)
