Job Description

Job SummaryThe focus of this position is working with others to build and maintain relationships and work closely and accurately within established guidelines. There is a need for an effective communicator, someone who can stimulate and motivate others while remaining responsive to their needs and concerns. There will be many different people to meet and work with, meaning the ideal candidate should be friendly and genuinely interested in the business, agenda, and needs of others. The candidate will be someone who aspires to think about the details, trends, and information they are working with and can raise common trends and provide insight to solve issues. Given the ever-changing environment, work must be done on time and accurately. This is a position where guidelines, structure, and established policies are critical for productivity.Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule onboarding and orientation
  • Deliver onboarding/orientation for hourly and salaried employees
  • Manage and maintain new hire checklist and process
  • Create and maintain organization charts for each line of business
  • Act as the Human Capital Management onboarding module lead
  • Conduct 3-month employee check-ins
  • Complete offboarding tasks including exit interviews
  • Prepare HR updates for labour management meetings on a monthly basis
  • Assist with preparing various HR documents including letters and employee communications
  • Assist the HR Generalist with HR matters and ensure they are conducted and documented in accordance with company policy
  • Assist with performance management including communication, input, tracking and training
  • Maintain employee related data and document records using the Human Capital Management system and provide system support to employees as needed
  • Track vacation accruals and make adjustment as required at year end
  • Ensure policy compliance via tracking, reporting, and renewals
  • Assist with sourcing external training
  • Assist with reporting including the data quality report
  • Assist with the communication and organization the employee engagement survey
  • All other duties as directed
Technical Requirements
  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • Previous human resources experience in a role with varied responsibilities across many functions
Business Requirements
  • Technologically inclined
  • Interest in marketing/communication initiatives
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills coupled with a results-driven orientation
  • Demonstrated experience managing priorities with flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent business writing and grammar skills with the ability to create documents
  • Organized self-starter who drives deliverables for a wide variety of tasks with a high level of accountability
