Under the supervision of The Team Lead The Loaderamp; Excavator Operator is responsible for the preparation of cars for processing, as well as ensuring that all efforts are compliant with the company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.Duties may include the operation of loader, car crusher, excavator or other equipment to assist in the lifting, and moving of materials, as well as preparation of vehicles to be crushed. This person should possess knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Other duties may apply. Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role Valid Drivers License (Class 5 license considered an asset )Ability to work autonomouslyTeam-player who is motivated and ambitious Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment inside/outside of the shop Ability to: sit frequently; stand and walk frequently on uneven ground and throughout the yard; lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally; push and pull occasionally when moving materialscrouch or bend at the knees consistently to move or access materials or equipmentKnowledge of metals (an asset)Required competencies:Capacity to work in remotely Monday through Friday (overnights)Health and safety awarenessResourcefulnessAttention to detail; ability to do repetitive workPunctuality and diligenceState of the art equipmentamp; shop maintainedFull time; permanent, year-round position (44 hours per week guaranteed)Day shifts; Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunitiesFlexibility to travel overnights (with company vehicle, phone and fuel card)Competitive wagesGroup benefits.
