Job Description

As a Manager, Renewable Compliance And Trading you will be responsible for the management of renewable traders. Your goal will be to build and maintain internal and external (suppliers and customers) relationships and negotiate commercial conditions, terms and agreements focusing on optimizing the cost of supply directly impacting the bottom line.What We Offer:

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provides day-to-day coaching and performance management to Traders. Support team with personal development plans and coach to improve their skills for current and future roles at Irving Oil.
  • Lead the strategic direction and execution of the renewable space through setting programs, timelines, establishing internal alignment, and maintaining a continuous feedback loop on progress and milestones. Delegate action items from meetings to team members to ensure completion of tasks.
  • Manage Irving Oil and Suppliers including customer relations and agreement negotiations. Provide direction on new contracts, opportunities, and issue resolution.
  • Assist in business strategic planning including investigating methods of streaming the business processes as a means of improving/maintaining the bottom line.
  • Supervision of daily trading activities and their adherence to corporate policies (North America and Ireland).
  • Develop tools to help optimize bottom line and coordinate with other business units and lead teams to implement them.
  • Engage with Grow for Tomorrow team in projects, setting and supporting strategic work, engaging for market intelligence, etc. Provide subject matter expertise in renewables and manage the supply stream of projects. Own the day-to-day outcome of projects.
  • Facilitate relationships with other internal teams including rail, supply, marine, etc.

Your Experience:
  • Post-Secondary education - preferably with a focus in Engineering or Business and/or Finance.
  • 3-5 years #39; experience Trading is preferred
  • 5-10 years in industry including management experience
