Job Description

Overnight Operations CoordinatorAs an Overnight Operations Coordinator you will leading an efficient overnight operation by coordinating and supporting the after hours dispatch team. Your goal will be to safely and efficiently handle all after hours operational issues. Your success will be dependent on your ability to lead a team, handle complex issues and ensure that your team is supporting our overnight team with any issue they may have. This will require an ability to bring professionals of several departments together to collaborate on pertinent decisions and resolve any issue your team may have.What We Offer:

Your Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the primary contact on the overnight shift including the management and/or triage of after hour incidents. The role works fully independently and is empowered to coordinate and resolve all after hours operational issues. Only the most complex issues are escalated.
  • Lead response to all after hour driver emergency and non-emergency calls conveying a sense of urgency to resolve issues through effective planning, prioritization of activities, and creative approaches.
  • Engage stakeholders to work through complex logistical issues and gain consensus for resolution.
  • Partner with dispatch to ensure execution of scheduled Work. Workflow and troubleshoot any issues within the workflow process.
  • Manage and coordinate after hours maintenance breakdowns by managing logistics and recovery in collaboration with vendors and drivers to ensure timely response while adhering to safety standard and procedures.
  • Deliver status updates, reports and pertinent information to Managers and various internal stakeholders. Cascade pertinent information to stakeholders.
  • Bring forward and implement recommendations to optimize performance and proactively resolve issues. Improve after hours processes and develop recommendations to improve efficiencies.
  • Make difficult and time sensitive decisions to support business objectives that support business KPIs.
  • Monitor driver E-log reporting for all after hour drivers and ensure dispatch software data is accurate.
  • Maintain data integrity within our reporting system for all drivers (scheduled drivers, log in/log out times).
  • Promote personalamp; process safety to achieve established goals.
Your Skills:

Your Experience:
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience is an asset
  • 5-10 years in a transportation and logistics role preferably in a dispatch and maintenance environment.
