E amp;I PROJECT MANAGER (DIVISIONAL ENGINEERING)The Opportunity:Are you an Electrical Engineer Do you have experience as an electrical project manager This opportunity could be for you!We are looking for an E amp;I Project Manager to join our Project Engineering team, based in Saint John, New Brunswick.As an E amp;I Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing capital projects. From project concept development to project start-up, you will be responsible to lead a team through all phases of projects including scope definition and funding applications, detailed engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities. The E amp;I Project Manager and Team will be responsible for ensuring the projects are executed safely, in compliance with all environmental regulations, kept within budget and on schedule, and achieve all technical, performance, and quality objectives.Who We Are:Our team operates within highly technical, fast paced, competitive businesses and is part of an integrated forest products value chain under J.D.   • Electrical Engineering Degree
  • Prior experience in pulpamp; paper or other heavy industrial projects is considered an asset
  • Ability to successfully execute within a team environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
  • Must demonstrate ownership, initiative, attention-to-detail, and a drive to ensure things are done right the first time
  • Above-average planning and organizational skills
  • Experience with electrical system design, instrumentation and automation (including power transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, instrumentation, PLCs, DCS)
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute electrical, instrumentation and automation projects of varying magnitude, interface with other disciplines and external stakeholders across multiple locations
  • Recommends E amp;I process/equipment improvements to support strategic initiatives
  • Develop concepts for capital improvements outlining scope, benefits, cost estimates and schedules. Prepare capital funding requests, work with cross functional teams through to completion of project.
  • Execute multiple projects within budget and on schedule
  • Monitor and track capital spending and project progress to plan
  • Provide commissioning and start-up support
  • Provide trouble shooting assistance and technical expertise as required
  • Work with engineering consultants and contractors ensuring project design and execution is in accordance with company standards and applicable codes and regulations
  • Provide mentorship to other engineers and students.
