That #39;s why we #39;re dedicated to investing in our employees #39; potential, so that they can reach their career goals.What you can expect in a typical dayThe Regulatory Compliance Systemsamp; Reporting Partner assists the Manager, Regulatory Compliance with the management, maintenance, and delivery of corporate-wide compliance activities. This position is accountable to act as a contributing/participating strategic partner that leads compliance initiatives and ongoing activities. The Regulatory Compliance Systemsamp; Reporting Partner will provide technical and regulatory support to business units stakeholders in the areas of implementing compliance related corporate-wide policies and standards; as well as business units #39; operational procedures and processes. They will facilitate training and education programs and the conduction of periodic compliance assessments.What we offer:

Your roles and responsibilities:
  • Build an understanding of current and developing regulations in all jurisdictions where Irving Oil operates
  • Work with the Manager, Regulatory Compliance to manage the Compliance Register, including technology enhancements, testing, and managing the admin portal and all associated business requests
  • Review and analyze regulatory compliance data to ensure its accuracy and thoroughness, identify trends and solutions to ensure future compliance and prepare reports for the Manager, Regulatory Compliance
  • Track mandatory internal and external (including governmental) audit actions, notices and/or orders for reporting activities on behalf of Irving Oil and its business units
  • Lead processes and initiatives to develop, implement, maintain, and revise company-wide policies and standards relating to regulatory compliance for current and developing jurisdictional regulations
  • Support, monitor and advise business unit representatives for the development, implementation and review corporate-wide compliance related policies and standards and development, implementation and review of compliance related operational procedures and processes
  • Develop, manage, coordinate the conduction of periodic compliance assessments to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and internal controls (corporate policies, standards and operational procedures and processes) and recommend preventative measures to lower overall risk of compliance violations
  • Track and coordinate response to all external governmental survey requests through engagement and alignment with key stakeholders across the business in Canada and the US as well as key contacts at Statistics Canada and United States Census Bureau
  • Support the Manager, Regulatory Compliance Awareness and Education and business units #39; learning specialists in developing, reviewing, and implementing compliance related training (curriculum, material, LMS, workshops) and awareness programs and activities

Travel
  • Minimal travel may be required for this role.
Education and experience
  • Graduation from a post-secondary institution in a relevant discipline or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience relevant to this position.
  • 5+ years relevant work experience working with systems, compliance, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience in oil and gas industry is required
  • Experience interpreting and/or applying laws and regulations is considered an asset
  • Compliance Management Software use and reporting is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software and tools (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS OneNote, MS SharePoint)
  • Project management experience is an asset
