You #39;re not just joining a team; you #39;re continuing your journey in mastering the group benefits landscape, growing your knowledge, and truly understanding the intricate tapestry of our organization.What You #39;ll DoAnalyticalamp; Consulting Work (70%)- Collect, analyze, and interpret group benefit plan renewals- Negotiate renewal ratings with insurance providers- Analyze and compare insurance products, services, and contracts- Potential to assist with actuarial valuations and benefit plan reserves- Perform plan audits and design deliverables for prospective clients- Prepare and draft client deliverables for review by the consultant- Provide quarterly analysis of cost drivers by reviewing client #39;s claims experience data- Design, distribute, and evaluate responses to surveys/requests for proposals- Assist with pricing and summarizing impacts of design alternatives- Provide peer review of work completed by peers- Provide support for new projectsAdministration and client support (30%)- Provide direct day-to-day problem-solving support for clients by phone and e-mail- Act as the point of contact during consultant absences- Review contracts and compare with employee booklets/update employee booklets- Facilitate occasional employee presentations- Support the internal administration team including updating tools and processes- Review websites and bills delivered by our administration system- Facilitate communication between internal departmentsWhat You #39;ll Need for Success- A bachelor #39;s degree in business, finance, statistics, actuarial science, or equivalent work experience- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in group benefits analysis or consulting- Proven ability to dissect complex data, interpret benefit plan renewals, and analyze claims experience data to identify trends and cost drivers- Exceptional attention to detail for conducting plan audits, drafting precise client deliverables, and reviewing contracts thoroughly- Comfort with numbers is a must, with the potential to assist in actuarial valuations and calculating benefit plan reserves- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully negotiating terms and rates with insurance providers- Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and other data analysis tools.- A customer-focused mindset with the capability to address client concerns with empathy and professionalism- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and act as a point of contact in a consultant #39;s absence, ensuring seamless client service- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating reports, facilitating presentations, and providing clear client support- Willingness to take on new challenges, learn new processes, and proactively support continuous improvement efforts- Certification in relevant fields (e.g., CEBS, GBA, CLU, actuarial exams) is a plus- Flexibility to adapt to new situations and to work beyond traditional hours when necessary to meet client needsWhy Choose HUBWhen you choose HUB, you #39;re choosing the largest insurance brokerage in Canada and 5th largest global insuranceamp; employee benefits broker supported by over 19,000 professionals in 500 offices across North America.
