Job Description

This position has responsibility and accountability for performing the leadership, behavioural and functional requirements according to the Competency Framework in the areas of Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, Purchasing Policies and Methodologies, Change Management, Contract Law and Management, Negotiating, Consulting and Project Management.What We Offer:

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop category profile and sourcing strategies
  • Manage contracts and supplier relationships
  • Lead and facilitate negotiations of GSA #39;s, MSA #39;s, and other agreements
  • Identify external and internal stakeholders and engage them in activities
  • Understand and align to customer #39;s markets, strategies, priorities and plans
  • Identify and implement supplier consolidation activities
  • Identify new sources of supply
  • Facilitate internal Total Cost of Ownership reduction initiatives
  • Advise business customers on changes in markets
  • Analyze price behavior and forecast prices
  • Effectively manage the P2P process
  • Strategic Sourcing - Identify and develop new strategic sourcing processes and strategy
  • Supplier Relationship Management - Build and develop supplier relationships that will add value to the business
  • Supply Management Policies, Procedures and Methodologies - Identify and develop improved supply management methodologies, processes, policies and procedures
  • Change Management - Support and implement change management process and use change management toolsamp; strategies at peer level
  • Contract Law and Management - Encourage, support and communicate the knowledge of contract laws and management
  • Negotiating - Develops and leads negotiation strategy utilizing best practices
Your Skills:
  • Ability to develop strategic visions and create plans for implementation.
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team, network, and build relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and persuasion skills.

  • Ability to evaluate and mitigate commercial risks.
Your Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in business, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience negotiating and managing contracts is a requirement.
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or other similar designation an asset.
  • Experience working in oil and gas or other industrial setting is an asset
  • Experience supporting Maintenance, Repair and Operations an asset
  • 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (create, populate, update).
