Reporting to the National Purchasing Manager, this exciting role will manage the purchasing and inventory management activities for a segment of our business, representing all locations across the company. Specifically, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist #39;s key responsibilities include:

  • Manage supplier relationships with a focus on inventory management and cost savings initiatives
  • Perform market analysis to ensure sustainable access to both core and innovative products
  • Identify and address risks building contingency plans to mitigate
  • Plan and execute strategies to meet Supply Chain Key Process Indicators (KPIs)
  • Direct activities of the operational buyer
The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:
  • A bachelor #39;s degree with 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain
  • SCMP designation is an asset
  • Strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and deliver cost savings
  • Knowledge of inventory management
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Willingness to travel
