Job Description

FUNCTIONSReporting to the Coordinator Pedagogical and Institutional Development, Catherine Talbot, the incumbent will perform a variety of administrative duties in accordance with established methods and procedures.MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

  • Open, sort and deliver the library mail.
  • Submit and keep records of timesheets for casual employees.
  • Reconcile and deposit cash from fines.
  • Perform operations to lend out, charge in, and reserve documents, software, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Take reservations of audiovisual equipment for classroom use.
  • Manage overdue and fines notification process, as per established procedures.
  • Answer quick reference questions, when at the circulation desk.
  • Provide clerical assistance to the technical services area and circulation service to users of the Library.
  • Provide for first-level library security, library room reservation and all other aspects of operation.
  • Assist in the use of the Library online catalogue, and publicly-available equipment (e.g. photocopiers, student printer).
Requirements :EDUCATION
  • To have a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in an appropriate specialty or a secondary school diploma (DES) or have a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent communication skills in English and in French, both oral and written.
  • Ability to use various software such as MS Office and Omnivox.
  • Strong customer service.
