Job Description

THE CENTRE FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION has the following anticipated vacancies for the WINTER 2023 Semester for the EVENING DEC Credit Courses January 23, 2023 to May 15, 2023.TYPE OF CONTRACTS: CHARGE DE COURS (À LA LEÇON) (1-2.12)COURSE: 345-102-MQTITLE: World ViewsHOURS: 45SECTION(S): three (3)N.B. Contracts are contingent upon sufficient student enrollment in each course. Starting date, day/time and location for each course to be determined by the Centre for Continuing Education.DISCLAIMER: All courses will be offered in an online or blended format, with adjustments for onsite classes, pending the public health situation.HUMANITIES (345) PHILOSOPHY (340) RELIGION (370)

  • Master’s degree in a related discipline(s) to be taught or equivalent*
  • Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
  • Knowledge of Quantitative and Research Methods in the Social Sciences preferred
  • Excellent English communication skills essential
  • Equivalent establishes a general comparison between two official education systems
The Humanities, Philosophy and Religion department is actively seeking teachers with knowledge in the following areas:
  • Critical approaches to teaching that are attentive to intersectional oppression and forms of social marginalization across the disciplines
  • Indigenous worldviews knowledges and pedagogies
  • Theoretical and cultural production from the Global South and from marginalized communities
  • Climate crisis impacts and climate justice
  • Critical approaches to issues in contemporary media
  • The arts and their socio-cultural context
