Resource Coordinator - Home Care Services (SS-23-1133) Apply NowCompetition #: SS-23-1133 Facility/Program: Home Care Services Location: Gladstone Position Type: Full-Time Position Status: Permanent FTE: 1.0 Hours of Work: 7.75 hour shifts Shift(s): Days / Evenings Union: CUPE Start Date: To be determined Closing Date: Open until filled Position SummaryReporting to the Regional Manager, Home Care Operations, the Resource Coordinator is responsible for supervising and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of personal care and home support services to Home Care Clients. The incumbent will exercise professional judgment in the completion of their duties and action to be taken on unusual day to day matters.The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.Qualifications

  • Grade 12 education required
  • Completion of a Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Knowledge of home care systems and programs
  • Two years’ experience in coordinating human resources in the delivery of services to clients
  • Supervisory experience in a unionized environment
  • Experience in scheduling staff in work assignments preferred
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Able to effectively perform the tasks and responsibilities of the position
  • Basic knowledge and experience with computers and with MS Office suite of programs
  • Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required
  • Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
  • Good work and attendance record
Conditions of Employment
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00
