Job Description

We encourage all qualified persons to apply, particularly Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, racialized people, and people with diverse gender identities and sexual orientations, and others who share our values and contribute to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.Reporting to the Coordinator, Operations, this position will provide diversified administrative support and accounting functions to assist in the day to day operations of the Regina office.This position works in conjunction with the entire Provincial Support Services Team to balance workloads and provide administrative support to program coordinators and their various program areas.As an Administrative Assistant you will:

  • Complete a variety of administrative accounting functions to support the office; receipting, banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable
  • Enter and track relevant information in spreadsheets
  • Maintain postage supplies, event calendars, vehicle bookings, boardroom booking calendars, and out of office calendars
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and prepare mail out in-memoriam donation cards and/or acknowledgments for ‘in honour’ donations
  • Handle all facets of incoming and outgoing mails and arranges for courier services. May be required to track or initiate follow up activities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to telephone and walk in clients
  • Manage a multiline telephone system and responds to voicemail messages
  • Support with the day-to-day operations of the facility and address any regular maintenance issues that may arise
What we are looking for:
  • The minimum qualifications for this position are post secondary education in office administration or a related field, and one (1) to three (3) years of work experience, including administrative support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize and handle multiple duties, solve complex problems and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid Provincial Driver’s License
  • First Aid Certification or willingness to take training
  • Fluency in a second language
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Experience working with vulnerable and diverse populations and an understanding of cultural issues
Working conditions:
  • Most of the work is performed in an office environment
  • This position requires a successful Canadian Criminal Record check and a satisfactory vulnerable sector check.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory for this position (the CRC will however adhere to its duty to accommodate those who are unable to be fully vaccinated for a reason related to a human right protected ground).
