Position: Carpenter ForemanProject Type: IndustrialProject Location: Jansen, SKShift: 10 hrsSchedule: 14/7Accommodations: CampTravel Details: Shuttle offered from Regina or SaskatoonGC: GrahamAllied Partner: JCL Constructors Inc.Reference Number:16036Jardeg is currently recruiting for Carpenter Foremen to join the team currently constructing the BHP Jansen Potash Project, located approximately 140km east of Saskatoon.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervises the construction of a portion of a project under the direction of a Superintendent
  • Maintains ongoing communication with the Superintendent
  • Assigns work to carpenters
  • Takes an active role in the hiring, training, discipling and assigning of field personnel
  • Monitors and addresses cost and labour performance of construction projects in conjunction with the Superintendent
  • Organizes and instructs crews
  • Carries out the implementation of management decisions such as construction methods, schedule, quality and safety
  • Leads weekly toolbox meetings
  • Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints and specifications
  • Assists with the preparation of execution plans, ITP’s, safe work plans, work assignments etc.
  • Assists with performance management of workforce
Education/Experience
  • Red Seal Journeyman
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience and some work leadership experience
  • CSTS/SCOT
  • WHMIS
  • Fall Protection
  • AWP
  • Confined Space
