Job Description

Position: Journeyperson CarpentersProject Location: Jansen, SKSchedule: 14/7Accommodations: CampTravel Details: Shuttle offered from Regina or SaskatoonGC: GrahamAllied Partner: JCL Industrial Constructors Inc.Refrence Number: 16044Jardeg is currently recruiting for Journeyperson Carpenters to join the team currently constructing the BHP Jansen Potash Project, located approximately 140km east of Saskatoon.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
  • Build forms for concrete
  • Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
  • Working from blueprints instructions from supervisors does layout-measuring, marking and arranging of various construction materials
  • Cut, shape and join
  • Checks accuracy of works and makes adjustments as required
  • Studies blueprints for work planning
  • Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
  • Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
Education/Experience:
  • Journeyperson status OR minimum Or an equivalent combination of experience, training and education
  • CSTS/SCOT
  • WHIMIS
  • Fall Protection
  • AWP
  • Confined Space
