They will provide support to customers by answering questions in person and through e-mail/telephone, picking, and entering orders and following up on any backorders. Their goal is to provide the highest level of customer service by maintaining, stocking, and keeping an organized and clean warehouse.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with loading and unloading of customer and vendor vehiclesAssist customers who purchase material at the sales counterReceive and put away stockEnter, pick, and pack sales orders generated at the sales counterMaintain, organize, and clean the warehouse and sales counter area including any merchandising displaysInform the buyer when stocks levels are lowFollow up on backorders with vendors and provide customers accurate delivery datesProcess returns and warranty claims to customers both on account and cash sales including paperwork in compliance with all proceduresPerform other tasks such as receiving and administrative duties as requested by the Profit Centre ManagerQualifications:Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College/University degree an assetA minimum of 2 years of experience with counter sales/warehouse preferredOutstanding customer service and verbal communication skillsExcellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammatesAbility to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process ordersExperience working in a fast-paced environmentIntermediate math skills with a strong attention to detailAbility to learn how to operate material handling equipmentPossess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrityAbility to work well independently and in a team settingPreferred Skills:Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and heating products sold at the Profit CentreAbility to use the Internet as a resource to problem solve and find alternative solutions for customersExperience using Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, and OutlookForklift/reach truck training/accreditationHow to Apply:Please submit your cover letter and resume to Kim Neufeldt at: kneufeldt@emcoltd.comEMCO is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a discrimination, harassment, and barrier free workplace where all employees can contribute to their fullest potential.
