Come and be a part of this success.About PotashBHP’s Jansen Potash Project located approximately 140 km east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is BHP’s first and most advanced potash project. Jansen will add diversity and a Canadian presence to BHP’s global portfolio. Jansen’s large resource endowment provides the opportunity to develop it in stages, with anticipated initial capacity of 4.35 Mtpa. The BHP Board has recently sanctioned Jansen Project (Stage 1), with a US $5.7 billion investment. The project is now entering the construction phase, with the first potash expected in 2027.PurposeThe Development Superintendent will supervise the Development Mining Contractor (CG1101) in completion of the mining scope. They will work hand in hand with the contractor on a day-to-day basis to assist in planning and execution of the works and provide overall governance and responsibility in terms of administering the Authority to Mine (ATM), adherence to the Ground Control Management Plan (GCMP) and managing underground risks. They will be responsible for ensuring the contractor works the agreed plan in a safe and effective manner to meet schedule targets, ensuring that all Planning & Technical (P&T) support provided by the IPT to complete the works is well known and executed. They will also work alongside the rest of the Underground Mining team in particular the Construction Contractor (GC1102) Superintendents to ensure the integration of the 2 contracts in terms of access to construction areas, handover of excavations and prioritizing of free issued equipment and resources within their control to ensure both contracts complete their work as planned in an effective manner. For the duration of the project this role will report within the construction organization and later transition to an Operations Supervisor once the underground area has been handed over.About the RoleIn this role, you will:
