We are excited about welcoming a General Manager to our team, responsible for spearheading the sales and operations of our Assiniboia Elevator. Situated in the serene community of Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, this area boasts rich heritage, abundant resources, and a vibrant sense of community.If you are a seasoned agricultural professional with a proven track record in grain and crop production, coupled with strong management skills, this is a remarkable opportunity to advance your career. Reporting to the Regional Manager and providing leadership support to the Marketing Manager and Facility Manager, this role offers a platform to leverage your expertise, communication skills, and leadership abilities.As the General Manager, you will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities:Oversee the comprehensive operations of our grain terminal facility, ensuring excellence in grain procurement, inventory management, grain shipments, staff supervision, and grain grading and storage.Collaborate in generating plans, forecasts, and budgets while actively participating in staff recruitment, training, and coaching.Deliver financial results in alignment with established operating and capital budgets, including management of inventories, receivables, fixed assets, and rolling stock.Collaborate with the Regional Manager and Human Resources to coordinate and administer all local facility HR activities.Foster and nurture robust business relationships with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships, and setting the benchmark for exceptional customer service.Strive to maximize throughput, profitability in grain handling, and meet operational efficiency standards.Uphold quality standards with responsibility for the specifications of grains when loaded into rail cars and trucks.
