Division: Utilities and EnvironmentDepartment: Saskatoon Lightamp; PowerTerm: 1 Temp Full Time position(s) available for approximately 6 months.Closing Date: 01/18/2024Labour Group: IBEW 319Posting: 2861Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Senior Project Management Engineer and direction of the Electrical Engineering Technologist II, this position is responsible for locating and staking the Saskatoon Lightamp; Power underground infrastructure.Dutiesamp; ResponsibilitiesLocate and stake the Saskatoon Lightamp; Power underground infrastructure. Assists with field work, including surveying, staking, and recording measurements. Performs work activities in accordance with Corporate Safety policies, regulations, and procedures. Liaises with customers, Sask 1st-Call, and contractors regarding Locate-related matters. Assists with maintaining inventory of all supplies and equipment for Locating purposes. Performs other related duties as assigned.QualificationsGrade 12 education or equivalent. Experience or training in electrical, surveying, or underground cable locating fields would be considered an asset. Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver #39;s License. Current driver’s abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record. Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public and other employees to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to accept direction and work with minimal supervision. Physical ability to perform the assigned duties outside in varying weather conditions.
