This will include activities like assistance with hygiene needs, support with eating, helping with prescribed therapies, et ceteraPractice observation skills as you monitor residents #39; progress toward their personal goalsAssist people to take their medications as neededAssist residents to fully engage with the wider community through recreational opportunities, community events and accessing community resourcesIndirect Support Tasks:Keep accurate records about important events and processes in the residents livesAssist the residents with managing their home. This will include some cleaning, food preparation, shopping, decorating, light yard work, etc.Assist the residents with planning for and preparing delicious and nutritious mealsWork with equipment needed for support. This includes medical devices (blood sugar monitoring, blood pressure cuffs, oxygen monitors, oxygen tanks, etc.). This also includes mechanical lifts, agency vehicles and household appliancesMinimum Qualifications:Grade 12 completion requiredFull Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver #39;s Licence required (not a Novice 1 or Novice 2) and submission of Driving AbstractSatisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector search requiredPreferred Qualifications (if you dont have these yet we can train you):Transfers, Lifts, and Repositioning (TLR)Professional Assault Response Training (PART)Comprehensive Personal Planning and Support (CPP and SP)Food SafeMedAssistWHIMIS
