These duties include:o Collect and interpret field data primarily related to the logging of drill coreo Enter data in project databaseo Assist with daily core handling functions (measuring, sampling, photography, moving full core boxes etc.)o Assist or complete down hole probing data acquisitiono Infrared Spectrometry measurements on drill core (TerraSpec) and other physical property measurementso Provide as required written / oral presentation of results: maps, sections, tables, etc.o May be required to assist in supervision of geo-technicianso Assist with spotting drill holes and flagging trailsSkills and Qualifications:-University degree in geology (B.Sc., M.Sc.)-Registered, or the ability to register with APEGS or another provincial equivalent-Solid background in geology, structural geology, and geochemistry-Good computer skills are essential; familiarity with Geosoft, AcQuire, and Microsoft Office are an asset-Must understand geology of uranium prospects and deposits-Valid Class 5 drivers license-Experience operating snowmobiles is considered an asset-Excellent written and verbal communication skills-Must be discovery oriented / motivated-Be scientific and logical-Good decision making abilities-Excellent social skillsWork Locationamp; Schedule:-Predominantly a field-based position in Northern Saskatchewan; isolated exploration camps or mine sites on a three week in and one week out field rotation-Saskatoon Corporate Office-Normally an 8 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required-This position requires moderate physical ability with ability to work in difficult and isolated conditions
