Job Description

At Peter Lucas (located within Treaty 6 Territory and Homeland of the Metis), we believe in creating an environment where everyone can find success in a career they are passionate about.This is a site based role working two weeks on, two weeks off; as a Shutdown Coordinator your duties and responsibilities are:• Leading shutdown planning activities to ensure the shutdown is efficient and productivity is maximized• Developing a shutdown execution plan including resourcing strategy• Working with maintenance, operations, projects and SHEQ to lock-down shutdown scope• Implementing and maintaining the shutdown schedule and hold frequent reviews with site stakeholders• Holding shutdown planning meetings, increasing in frequency as shutdown nears• During the shutdown, lead shutdown coordination activities and make real-time decisions for variances to planRequirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong shutdown experience on industrial sites
  • Proficient understanding of mineral or resource processing
  • Proven experience in winning and delivering shutdown services on time and on budget
  • Strong task management skills, ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • Demonstrate success in building trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical and adaptability skills
  • Must be self sufficient and self motivated
