Grow with us, H2O+U.Your OpportunityAs a Student Intern, you will work in a team environment and have exposure to water infrastructure projects which may include water and wastewater plants, pump stations, water supply and distribution and sewer collection systems. This is a terrific opportunity for a college student to support a number of exciting local and national projects. This is for an 8-month opportunity starting in May 2024.Your Key Responsibilities- Assisting in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports- Assisting technical staff with various project tasks, including researching, compiling and evaluating project data, preparing reports and performing calculations for water and wastewater treatment projects and/or sewer or watermain design projects.- Attending construction sites to observe and monitor construction progress, report on deficiencies and complete construction progress reports.- Performing simple calculations, computer data entry, along with some exposure to CAD, GIS, design and cross-training.- Attending project sites for the purposes of obtaining samples, arranging sample testing and compiling and interpreting results.- Performing research and contacting vendors for information.- Complete other engineering/administrative duties as required.QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction.- Knowledge of state and federal regulations, policies, and programs, are a plus.Education and ExperienceIn progress toward earning a Bachelor #39;s degree or Diploma in civil, water resources or environmental engineering from an accredited University or College.Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time.
