Job Description

  • Prepare, review and present hot tests and performance tests schedules, learning curves and related reports to the project management team and other related teams.
  • Coordinate the work environment in compliance with the contractual conditions, commissioning schedule and learning curve during the hot tests and performance tests.
  • Define job site organization and assignments in accordance with the technological objectives, test schedule, performance standards, quality standards and on-site safety with the project management team.
  • Coordinate human and material resources involved in the start-up phases of all components of the project.
  • Prepare and review, with the cooperation of the project management team and the client, the start-up phases, in accordance with the project time schedule.
  • Prepare and organize the production schedule once the start-up phases have started.
  • Guide and support the client in organizing the planning of the tests schedule and start-up phases.
  • Control the quality results, making provisions for corrective actions when needed and taking samples to cross-check between quality prescriptions and actual results.
  • Clarify elements of the commercial contract or technical specifications before the start-up phases.
  • Provide onsite training and plant production assistance to the local team; and,
  • Act as the on-site process expert and technical liaison between Danieli Canada Inc., the project management team, and the client representatives to support the customer during the project.
Additional Information:
  • 40 hours of work per week.
  • Full-time employment.
  • From Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (day).
  • The schedule may vary depending on the project the employee is assigned to (hours of work and days of the week).
  • Contractual basis for 3 years.
  • Paid return home (plane ticket) in the home country every 90 days, if applicable and as per internal policy.
  • Vacation: 2 weeks
  • Daily per diem when assigned to a project.
  • No overtime.
  • Bonus and salary increases in compliance with the internal policies of the employer.
  • Language requirement: English
  • Work location: 105 West Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, P6A 7B4 Canada
  • Other work location: All related sites across Canada.
  • The worker will primarily work offsite (the candidate will be assigned to different projects in Canada)
Work Qualifications:
  • Technical diploma in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Process Specialist.
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in process engineering.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience on Danieli Group #39;s project (in Canada or worldwide).
