(300 Silver Star Blvd., Scarborough)Carefirst Seniors and Community Services is recruiting Family Physicians and Specialists to practice at the new Carefirst Medical Centre which is located within the state-of-the art newly built “Carefirst One-stop Multi-Services Centre”.If you are interested, please send your cv and application to:The Physician Hiring Committee 3601 Victoria Park Avenue, Suite 501, Scarborough, Ontario M1W 3Y3E-mail Address: hr@carefirstseniors.com Fax: 416 502-2382Please feel free to contact Myrtle Robichaud, at 905-695-1138 or by email to myrtle.robichaud@carefirstfht.com if more information is required.Job Description of Family PhysiciansProvide primary care to individuals and their families taking into account risk factors (environmental, social, psychological and medical) in a manner which can be understood by the client, and when applicable, their familiesPerform clinical duties by seeing and assessing client for routine health and illness care, prescribing treatment, during scheduled hours of service.Work with the health care systems, to support the health needs of clients and community groups obtained through client encounters and other community contactsEnsure appropriate, comprehensive treatment is delivered by maintaining complete and accurate medical records, and answering client inquiries and directing them to or providing appropriate treatment.Maintain and develop professional competence through appropriate continuing education (i.e., peer interaction, literature review, conferences, courses, continuous learning)Qualifications:Medical degree and family medicine residency from a recognized universityCertification in Family Medicine (CCFP)License to practice from the Ontario College of Physicians and SurgeonsBroad knowledge, background; and interest in the practice of family medicineExcellent communications and interpersonal skillsExperience in primary care settings (community-based preferred)Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environmentAbility to work days, evenings and on SaturdaysQuick Apply
