Job Description

In this role, you will be conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a permanent employment opportunity, is located in the Scarborough, Ontario. Key responsibilities - Gather and oversee forecasting reports - Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required - Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date - This position requires a flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information - Deliver valuable foresight and decision support by enabling effective Business Intelligence (BI) - Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are executed properly - Keep tabs on monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations, ensuring that business partners handle their resources - Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close processes - Explain and understand internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending - Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planningamp; Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization - Endorse weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings as well as P amp; L forecasting - Strong problem solving and analytical skills - Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills - Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus - Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role) - Financial planningamp; analysis (go-to-market experience prioritized) - 2+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role) - BA/BS degree in finance or a related field - Manufacturing Variance experience highly desired - Proficiency in Accounting Entries - General familiarity with Excel VBA - Analyze Variance experience - Demonstrated knowledge of Excel Formulas - Accounting close process experience - Accounting cycle experience - Adeptness in Balance Sheet Account - Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations Robert Half is the world #39;s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
