Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedWhat Does a Project Supervisor DoAs a Project Supervisor, you will work with the Project Manager and Superintendent on the overall planning, coordination and field supervision of paving, and construction activities to ensure that the project is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.As a Project Supervisor, You Will:

  • Assist with overall project performance including costs, schedule, and quality
  • Maintain and promote excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and public
  • Liaison with customers, Project Managers, and Project Superintendents, to ensure timely delivery of all required resources to complete paving projects
  • Assist with cost analysis and invoicing to ensure project cost requirements are met and coding procedures are followed
  • Coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities on the project site and adherence to contract requirements
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and updating work schedules and executing construction activities
  • Coordinate procurement of construction materials ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of materials in accordance with the terms of the purchase order
  • Provide field management and supervision
  • Adhere to the Miller Group Policy and Procedure Manual
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for construction projects by adhering to the Companys OH&S management system
  • Other duties as assigned
What Youll Bring:
  • A Construction related diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience
  • CET designation is a strong asset
  • 7+ years’ relevant road construction experience
  • Advanced knowledge of all disciplines within construction management - Safety Compliance, Scheduling, Cost control, Quality control etc.
  • Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals and objectives
  • Attention to details and superior organization skills to work well with shifting priorities and rapid change
  • Strong ability to work with a highly functional team
  • Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with various project stakeholders including vendors, subcontractors, staff and senior management
  • Valid drivers license
  • Willingness to work weekends and night shifts as the project schedule demands
