Miller #39;s proud reputation is based on improving the transportation infrastructure across the country by excelling in construction, technicalamp; maintenance services and materials production since 1917.As a Truck and Heavy Equipment Technician, You Will:- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times in support of Miller/MSO #39;s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives- Read diagrams/schematics and manufacturers repair manuals for work procedures in order to make repairs per the manufacturer #39;s specifications- Maintain and service a fleet of trucks, pavement preservation and heavy construction equipment- Able to perform services on electrical, hydraulic, power train, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment- Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment- Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and equipment- Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair including computer connection/diagnosis with machine to identify fault codes- Provides guidance and instruction to less experienced, or apprentice maintenance personnel- Utilize computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes- Suggest positive changes to policy and procedures as required- Ability to work with minimal supervision- Maintain excellent customer relations- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment- Annual PMCVI Inspection for trucksWhat You #39;ll Bring- Must possess, and keep valid their applicable licenses including a valid 310T Truckamp; Coach Technician #39;s License- Road-side service experience an asset- First Aid certificate is an asset- Previous experience working with Heavy/Paving Equipment an asset- You will have the ability to diagnose and rectify faults- Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment- Valid G Driver #39;s Licence- Enjoy working in a team environment- Available to work extended hours, weekends and holidays as needed- Comprehend and follow written and spoken directions and work in a safeamp; efficient manner- Good communication skills both written and verbal in the English language- Physical ability and mobility to work in a shop and commercial yard environment; carry moderate to heavy amounts of weights; operate assigned equipment and vehiclesMiller is proud to provide this unique career opportunity, we offer continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package.
