Job Description

Position: Licensed Trailer Technician or Technician Apprentice - Schomberg (North Bolton) in OntarioLocations: 5730 Second Line (New Tecumseth) Schomberg, Ontario, L0G 1T0Reporting to: Service ManagerJob Status: Full-timeShift: 5 days per week Monday to Friday between 7:00am - 4:00pm (Day Shift)At TIP Canada we recognize that it is our people who make the difference and are the key to our growth and ongoing success. If you want to join a growing company and enjoy working with great people – then come grow with us!We are currently hiring a Licensed Trailer Technician or Technician Apprentice/ Mechanic for our Team in Schomberg (North Bolton), ON. As a Trailer Technician or Technician Apprentice you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of company and customer equipment.YOUR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Performs preventative and scheduled maintenance on equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment to manufacturers’ specs
  • Write explanations of work performed, review work orders.
  • Charge out all parts used for the specific task
YOU NEED TO HAVE:
  • 310J/310T Licensed Commercial Trailer Technician Certification
  • Knowledge of Heavy Truck Garage safety principles and behaviours
  • Experience in fabrication, welding, and/or tailgate repairs is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of ABS diagnostic software
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Collaborative team player
  • Ability to lift up to 85 pounds.
  • Experience in body work, fabrication, and welding is an asset.
