Report operating and maintenance problems to the Terminal Supervisor. Load customer trucks and common carriers in a timely and efficient manner recognizing the company policy on load limit weights and clean air standards. Prepare bills of lading and maintain inventory records. Perform emergency, periodic and preventive maintenance on all equipment according to the terminal maintenance program. Recommend cost-saving and work simplification ideas. Maintain the terminal in a clean, neat, and tidy condition, which properly reflects the company’s image. Support company safety programs through the use of safety equipment and the observance of safe work methods. Handle special assignments or projects as needed. Able to handle terminal alone for short periods of time. Shift hours demand careful and responsible work habits for longer periods of time.To succeed in this position, you will need:High school graduation or equivalent is required 1-2 years of work experience preferred Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Willingness to learn, training will be providedWhat to expect in a cement environment:Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 90 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions.
