If you’re a seasoned Development and Fundraising professional looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of troubled youth in a Christian ministry environment, we want to hear from you. Based in a rural setting in south-west Saskatchewan, Rock Solid Refuge is a 12-month, biblically-based live-in program for adolescents with life-controlling issues. This program encompasses spiritual, academic, and life-skills training to equip students to return to society as responsible citizens. Please view this video to get a glimpse into our work:https://youtu.be/E98aMN73opMAs the Manager of Development and Fundraising, you’ll be joining the organization at an exciting crossroad of growth and expansion. Your primary role will be creating, developing, and implementing the development/fundraising strategy to ensure the financial viability and sustainability of Rock Solid Refuge. Our ideal candidate will have experience working in a non-profit environment managing $1.5-2 million dollar budgets and has worked as a fundraiser/developer with Christian organizations. This role requires someone with sensitivity in working with existing donors, and innovation in coming up with new ideas for securing funds for the ministry. This person leads a small team in the development department.Job Tasks· Create and implement the annual development plan and strategy to meet budget of $1.4M +· Lead the development of Rock Solid Refuge’s fundraising strategy including, but not limited to key annual events, quarterly newsletters, developing partners, donor recognition, presentations to organizations and churches, social media and grant applications· Train staff and volunteers to support fundraising and marketing efforts· Develop and grow the donor base and manage events and campaigns· Implement best practices around fundraising operations, utilizing systems and relationships to build strong donor pipelines, locally and regionally· Supervise, monitor and inspire development team to achieve organizational goals· Manage performance of the development teamQualifications· Proven track record in non-profit development managing $1M+/year· A minimum of 5 years’ Director-level experience in a not-for-profit development environment in major gift fundraising and in working in faith-based communities· Completion of post-secondary education; graduate of a fundraising program or working towards the Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is an asset· Successful completion of all background checksOur preference is to have this senior role be conducted from the Rock Solid Campus, however we will consider remote worker applications from surrounding areas, so that travel to the Campus is possible when necessary.How to ApplyPlease submit your resume and cover letter.
